After trailing for most of the match an unexpected drop in performance from Zagreb Bulldogs enabled them to come from three goals behind and ultimately triumph in overtime with a score of 14:13. With this win Varaždin Royals secured their historical first trophy.
First round of the Croatian Lacrosse Cup was played this Saturday, and LK Zagreb Bulldogs and LK Varaždin Royals progressed to the finals. After a long three year hiatus, the Croatian Cup Finals will again host all four Croatian lacrosse teams. The finals will be held in Poreč and the draw decided on the semi-final matches. Zagreb Bulldogs will take on Varaždin Royals, while the defending Cup winners Split Legion will face Zagreb Patriots.
This past weekend Split held 2nd annual Dalmatia Lacrosse Cup, the biggest lacrosse tournament in the region. The second edition of Dalmatia Lacrosse Cup starts this Friday (September 30th) in Split. After an extremely successful inaugural edition last year the organizers decided to outdo themselves and promote the tournament into the largest lacrosse event in the region. The event will feature 14 men and 8 women teams across 3 action-filled days.

Croatia Lacrosse National Team last week competed in European Lacrosse Qualifiers for the 2023 World Cup in San Diego, and finished fourth in Group B. After starting the qualifiers with a 7:5 win over Hungary, the team was humbled by a 9:1 defeat to Austria. A 14:7 win against Slovenia got things back on track;
A thrilling encounter between Split Legion and Zagreb Bulldogs featured as part of Sportfest festival in Poreč, as they battled for the Croatian Lacrosse Cup 2021. Split successfully defended the title with a close 10:9 win and finished the year on a high note.
Last weekend Split held the first ever Dalmatia Lacrosse Cup, the biggest international lacrosse tournament in the region. 11 men and 6 women teams featured, including Croatia’s representative Split Legion, who finished the tournament in 7th place.
